      New generation Honda City facelift unveiled!

      The Japanese auto giant, Honda Motors on Thursday unveiled the much awaited new generation City sedan in Thailand. The new face-lifted Honda city has been very well received by the media and car enthusiast in the Thai market. The same face lifted sedan is expected to hit the Indian roads by the in January 2012, at the Delhi International Auto Expo.
       
      The new Honda City face lift will be carrying a number of cosmetic changes at the exteriors that will be comprises of newly designed front grille, new bumpers at both front and rear, newly designed tail lamps, etc. However, the interiors of the car will be almost same as of the existing Honda City.

      Since its launch in the Indian market in year 1998, the Honda City sedan has been the leader of its segment, Accounting for the highest sales numbers in its segment. The car is only available in only petrol version since its debut in the Indian auto market.
       
      However, in recent month, the supremacy of Honda City has been on stake due to the entry of a number new generation competitors including Volkswagen Vento, Toyota Etios and New Ford Fiesta. The intensifying competition forced the company to roll-out a new age Honda City so that its top position can be maintained.
       
      Last most, the total sales of Honda City stood at 5819 units in the Indian market, thanks to the heavy discount the car maker offered in July 2011.
