The new-generation Honda Brio is under works, and this new hatchback is being designed with India as its main market. The new Brio will be compact itself, however it will be a lot more premium in styling on the inside and feature-loaded too. The Brio is a quirky hatchback that appeals majority of urban buyers who need a premium badge and the convenience of a super-compact hatchback.
The new Honda Brio will be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine that will produce about 87bhp of power and will come with a five-speed manual and CVT box. On the other hand, the diesel will be a smaller engine with a 1.2-litre mill that will churn about 75bhp of power. This will be the most powerful hatchback in its segment. Honda is still contemplating if it should get the new Brio with diesel to India. This is because the percentage increase in prices for a diesel car is more in this segment, compared to the other segments.
Honda Brio at the moment isn’t as feature-loaded as competition and even the interior styling is basic. This is one aspect that Honda will work on and add-on to the new-gene Brio. The Brio will be competing with the Grand i10 and the Maruti Suzuki Ritz.
