Ford will be launching its new SUV, the Endeavour next month. This will be an all-new model and a generation ahead of the Endeavour currently sold in India. It will compete with the Toyota Fortuner, Chevrolet Trailblazer and Hyundai Santa Fe when launched.
The new-generation Endeavour will be powered by a 2.2-litre four-cylinder engine and Ford could also bring in a 3.2-litre five-cylinder diesel engine to the market. Both engines will come mated to a six-speed manual or automatic transmissions. The new Endeavour will be sold in both two-wheel and four-wheel drive versions.
The Endeavour features an all-new design when compared to the outgoing model. The design looks trendy and muscular and follows Ford’s new Kinetic Design language. The interiors of the Endeavour are contemporary and feature rich; it gets the new Ford SYNC 2 and an all-new terrain-response system. There is a new touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation as well besides cruise control, multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP and leather seats.
Ford has already started training its service team on the new Endeavour and when launched on the 19th of January 2016, the SUV should cost between Rs 23-28 lakh (ex-showroom).
