Ford has introduced the automatic variant of its premium SUV model Ford Endeavour in the Indian market. It is the third variant in the product line up and is a two-wheel drive version of the 3.0L diesel variant currently on sale. The price of the two-wheel drive variant is Rs. 17.88 lakh which is approximately Rs. 1.5 lakh cheaper than the 4x4 variant.

Building on the strong Endeavour sales so far this year, and the overwhelming response to the automatic transmission launched last year, we are confident that the Ford Endeavour 4×2 AT will be a popular and well received addition to our product line-up,” said Michael Boneham, President and Managing Director, Ford India.
The new Endeavour features the same 3.0-litre, five-speed automatic diesel and produces 155 bhp@4000 rpm and 38.5 kgm of peak torque from 2500 rpm. This common rail diesel engine sports a variable geometry turbocharger with an overdrive switch on the gear lever to aid overtaking. The model is available in five colour options – Diamond White, Moondust Silver, Sea Grey, Panther Black and Morello.
