Emerson Fittipaldi, the two-time F1 and Indi 500 Champion, is developing a car along with the world famous Italian car designer, Pininfarina, and motorsport specialist HWA. It is called Fittipaldi EF7 Vision Gran Turismo by Pininfarina, and the second teaser is released by the manufacturer with further details about the supercar.
In the new teaser, we can see the EF7’s outrageous carbon fibre splitters incorporating a sleek LED strip for headlamps and large aero vents. It has been confirmed that the EF7 Vision Gran Tourism will be powered by a naturally-aspirated V8 producing 592bhp. The engine and gearbox will be built by Fittipaldi Motors and will be integrated lower in the car to create a low centre of gravity. The car will make use of a carbon fibre monocoque chassis with carbon fibre bodywork and will weigh just around 1,000kg. The supercar also promises to be forgiving and safe for drivers of all skill levels, unlike many other hardcore supercars. According to Emerson Fittipaldi, “the owner-drivers of the EF7 can expect reliability, lower maintenance cost and minimal mechanic and tech teams from the supercar - which means more time on the track.”
The EF7 will have limited production run and it will also be available to drive virtually in the Gran Turismo video game franchise on the Sony PlayStation. The supercar will make its first appearance at the forthcoming 2017 Geneva Motor Show as a production-ready prototype.
