Visitors at the 2014 Guangzhou Motor Show in China were awestruck with the first glimpse of Chevrolet’s Sail sedan. It is likely that the showcased trim may also make it to the Indian market sometime in 2015. The one seen at the event appeared to carry a longer wheelbase, longer length and wider dynamics than the older trim. The company also stated that the vehicle may feature 366 Liter luggage space in the trunk.
The company has not spoken on the technical specification for the vehicle yet but it is likely that it may be powered by 1.3-litre VVT and a 1.5-litre DVVY engines. Apart from the manual transmission, Chevrolet may also offer an automatic transmission trim that may also feature start-stop function. As for the interiors, the Chevrolet’s Sail sedan shall feature sculpted seats and, smart flowing instrument panel and rich craftsmanship that lend it an upmarket feel.
As for the exterior, the sedan shall sport a larger dual-port grille that is complimented by sweptback headlamps. The smooth flowing lines across its body render it a sophisticated charm. The company has spoken on the pricing aspect yet. Based on anticipation it is likely to be priced slightly higher than the current offering in the country.
