Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd has decided to celebrate National Road Safety Week in collaboration with Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) and SIAM-SAFE. This is a country-wide awareness week, which will promote the importance of road safety in everyday life. The theme of the National Road Safety Week 2015 has been decided as: Safety is not just a slogan; it’s a way of life. In a bid to create awareness and the necessity to follow the road rule, the company has taken this initiative.

There have been increasing incidents of road rage as well as accidents due to negligence of drivers. A number of mishaps might have well been averted had the drivers been a bit more careful. This has shown that creating awareness and educating people to be more careful and considerate on roads is absolutely necessary to avoid accidents and loss of lives on roads. Incidentally, all the components pertaining to the driving system like the automobiles, the infrastructure of roads, engineering and traffic, training of drivers as well as road etiquette, education awareness and enforcement have safety in the core. This is why it is all the more important to create awareness in the minds of the people about the general importance of safety on roads.
