MV Agusta Brutale launched in India at Rs lakh

The 2017 version has got few cosmetic updates. It now features LED DRLs placed around the headlamp. The tail section gets a new design, which looks quite sharp and very appealing. Other than this, the instrument cluster gets a major revamp and the switchgear is new.

Powering this exotic naked is a 798cc inline three-cylinder motor that produces 109bhp at 11,500rpm and maximum torque of 83Nm at 7600rpm. This motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox. A slipper clutch is standard on this motorcycle. The top speed of the bike has been limited to 237kmph. The Brutale 800 is loaded with electronics. It gets an eight-level traction control system, three ABS levels and engine braking control. The bike gets four riding modes - Rain, Normal, Sport and Custom.

The Brutale 800 enters India via the semi-knocked-unit (SKD) route and will be sold through Motoroyale showrooms. The deliveries for this MV Agusta will begin next month. The Brutale 800 goes up against the Kawasaki Z900, the Triumph Street Triple and the Ducati Monster 821, which isn’t on sale anymore but will be relaunched as a BS-IV variant in the near future.
