ExxonMobil Lubricants Pvt Ltd, a wholly-owned affiliate of ExxonMobil Corporation, has reaffirmed its partnership with Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) across all three of the latter’s 2016 adventure motorsports events – Desert Storm, Dakshin Dare and Raid de Himalaya.
Marking a start to the three events this year was the 14th edition of Maruti Suzuki Desert Storm that commenced on April 3, 2016, in Noida and concluded on April 10, 2016, in the sandy expanse of Jodhpur in Rajasthan. ExxonMobil’s flagship Mobil 1 was the official lubricant partner for the motoring rally.
Speaking on the partnership, Rupinder Paintal, General Manager, OEM Business, ExxonMobil Lubricants Pvt. The Desert Storm’s gruelling conditions, test the endurance of both man and machine as the rally drivers navigate through the Thar Desert’s sand traps and dunes. Featuring Mobil 1 under the hood, Desert Storm drivers relied on the synthetic engine oil to deliver exceptional engine performance and protection even under these extreme conditions.
At the rally’s prize distribution ceremony in Jodhpur, Paintal said, “Mobil has always been synonymous with engine protection and performance, and has partnered leading automakers and award-winning race teams across the world – motorsports excites us as much as any enthusiast.”
