Japanese automaker Mitsubishi has refreshed the Outlander SUV range with a new special edition model. Dubbed Keiko edition, this new model is priced at £27,999 (Rs 22.98 lakh) and comes with additional features.
The additional equipment includes leather seats and a navigation system. The latter supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.Key features also include a 6.5-inch touchscreen display, radio, and CD/DVD player. Other highlights of the Keiko’s standard specification include dual-zone air conditioning, keyless go with a stop/start button, seven seats with split/folding third row, 18-inch alloy wheels, rear parking sensors, seven airbags, electronic parking brake (auto only) and Brake Auto Hold (auto only).
Under the hood there’s a 2.2-litre diesel engine, which is available with automatic and six-speed manual transmissions. The on-demand 4WD system improves traction and stability over loose surfaces. The Outlander’s rivals in the SUV segment in the UK include Nissan X-Trail, Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, Mazda CX-5 and Ford Kuga.
