Japanese carmaker Mitsubishi flagged-off Pajero’s heart-in-mouth car rally on Sunday at Ludhiana. The company gave exclusive opportunity to its Pajero owners to show off their vehicles. This is the first of its kind marketing stunt done by any car manufacturer in India.
The rally started off at 8.30 am from renowned Hotel Sarovar Portico in Ludhiana and a fleet of Mitsubishi Pajero was present with owners and car enthusiasts from the north, mainly from Chandigarh and Punjab. The rally allowed owners to show some of the exciting off road abilities of the Pajero on the tough terrains of country roads . The show saw the extreme power of the awarded SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) being put to use.
HM Mitsubishi used different road conditions to display the performance of the Pajero; there were the river beds of Sutlej, rough terrains, mushy, muddy, and damp roads over which the Mitsubishi Pajeros ran for over 40.3 kms.
Mr. Yoshiaki Wada, Head-Marketing and Channel Development of HM-Mitsubishi announced that formation of Pajero owner’s club is on the cards with the increasing popularity and demand of Pajero. He also said similar kind of rallies will be organized in other big cities of the country.
