      Mercedes to launch new generation CLS Class model tomorrow

      Mercedes Benz India, the second largest luxury car maker in the Indian auto market, is all set to launch its new generation CLS Class saloon in the country on 8th September. Carrying the same four door coupe shape, the new 2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS carries a more stylish look and premium stance like a sports car.

      The Mercedes CLS is currently available in both diesel and petrol versions in the Indian auto market. The petrol version - CLS 350 CGI – is powered by a 3.5 litre V6 engine that is capable of delivering a peak power of 272 hp along with a peak torque of 350 Nm. On the other hand, the diesel version of the car - CLS 350 CDI – gives a maximum power of 224 bhp with a massive peak torque of 540 Nm.

      Moreover, the German car maker will also roll-out an AMG tuned version of the CLS Class model, named as CLS 63 AMG. It is powered by a 6.2 litre V8 engine that delivers a peak power of 500 hp along with a peak torque of 600 Nm.

      The major attractions of the Mercedes CLS include THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control, Mercedes’ COMMAND APS with LINGUATRONIC (voice operated control system), exterior LEDs and LED integrated tail lamps.
