Mercedes-Benz to launch the GLC43 AMG Coupe in India on 21 July

The GLC43 AMG Coupe was introduced last year at the Paris Motor Show. Similar to the GLE43 AMG Coupe, the GLC43 AMG Coupe is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 engine pushing out 362bhp and 520Nm. The nine-speed transmission sends power to all four wheels via 4MATIC all-wheel drive system as standard. The crossover can sprint from zero to 100kmph in 4.9 seconds with the top speed electronically limited to 250 kmph. The sloping coupe-esque roofline is well proportioned on the GLC Coupe. The AMG bits like the aggressive bumpers and skirts, sporty 19-inch alloy wheels and the quad chrome-tipped exhaust add to the character of the performance crossover. The interior gets sports seats, AMG instrument binnacle, multi-function steering wheel and all the necessary bells and whistles such as climate control, COMMAND infotainment system, leather upholstery and several AMG insignias all over the body since this is an AMG-spec car.

Mercedes-Benz had a successful run in the first half of 2017, having launched no less than seven products in the first six months between January and June 2017. In their mid-year sales report, the German carmaker reported that the GLC-Class is well received by the Indian car buyers since it emerged as the highest selling SUV in their portfolio, without counting the GLE SUV. Sales of the luxury SUV segment also grew by an impressive 31 per cent, asserts the Stuttgart-based carmaker.

Expected pricing for the GLC43 Coupe is between Rs 60-70 lakh.
