German luxury automaker Mercedes-Benz will further add two new convertibles – S-Cabriolet and C-Cabriolet in its range for India tomorrow. The C-Cabriolet which makes its debut tomorrow is indeed the first Cabriolet in the history of C-Class, while the S-Cabriolet which was last showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo comes forth without a predecessor in India.

      Mercedes C-Cabriolet

The S-Class Cabriolet is the sixth variant of the current S-Class family and the first open-top luxury four-seater from the company since 1971. The S-Cabriolet will be the S500 model which is powered by a 4.7-litre twin-turbo V8 engine which generates 442bhp of power and 700Nm of torque. The C-Class Cabriolet on the other hand completes Mercedes-Benz line-up of open-top four-seaters with classic soft tops. The C-Class will arrive in the C300 variant which will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-charged engine that generates 241bhp and 370Nm of torque.

      Mercedes S-Cabriolet

Both the cars will be introduced in the country via the CBU route and will be higher priced than its regular siblings. From the two, the S-Cabriolet will be the expensive one. More details about the new convertibles will be known tomorrow post its official launch.
