      Mercedes Benz to introduce G63 AMG on Feb 19

      Mercedes-Benz, the well known German auto maker, is all prepared to launch its much powerful G-Class Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) in the Indian auto market on February 19, 2013. With its new model, the auto maker is planning to replace the G55 AMG with the same G-Wagen’s designing language. Interestingly, the company’s G-Wagen iconic design remains unchanged for a span of over 3 decades and is still luring the hearts of auto aficionados all over the world.

      The exterior appearance of new G63 AMG has not evolved much; however the model is assimilated with a cutting edge technology. The refreshed model of G-Class has been provided with few cosmetic changes and an advanced power mill, which has been mated to a cutting edge transmission system. Reportedly, the interiors of the new model have been also slightly altered with the incorporation of new electronic features for the driver.

      On the designing front, the 2013 G63 AMG has been provided with much rich features than its other siblings. Red brake callipers, aggressive front bumper and eye catching 20-inch wheels are few highlights of the same. The new model also features side mounted exhaust pipes, which ways out from bottom of the rear doors on each side. Coming to the technical front, the new model is incorporated with a state-of-the art 5.5-litre V8 engine, which belts out a maximum power of 544 bhp with an impressive torque output. Adding to its brilliant performance, the model is incorporated with a 7-speed transmission system that enhances its overall acceleration.

      Other key advancements of the model include Mercedes-Benz’s advanced cruise control system, parking aid Partktronic, blind spot assist, reverse camera, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Trailer Stability Assist and hill hold function. The new model from Mercedes-Benz is also expected to feature stop/start function, accompanied with brake energy recuperation systems, adding to its fuel efficiency.

      Owing to a trio of differential locks, the drive in all the four wheels of Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG is channelled permanently, which also facilitates in providing an added traction on the rough terrain. The new model from Mercedes-Benz is sure to create a stir in the Indian car market as the auto maker seems in full swing to grab the top notch position in the premium segment by the end of 2013.
