      Mercedes-Benz Malaysia introduces C350e plug-in hybrid

MB’s C350e will be available in three trims called Avantgarde, Avantgarde with AMG Line interior, and AMG Line. This plug-in hybrid will be powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged mill and an electric motor that collectively spins out 279bhp and 600Nm. A 7G-Tronic plus transmission will be used to transmit all that power to the wheels, and MB claims that the C350e can do the 0-100kmph run in 5.9sec.

There’s a 6.38 kWh lithium-ion battery that’s located at the rear of the car and can be recharged in about two hours through a domestic 230 volt power point. This saloon has an all-electric range of 31km and can hit a top speed of 130kmph in this mode. With the battery taking up some additional space, engineers had to shrink the boot space from 475 litres to 335 litres.

MB’s C350e comes with features like an air suspension, three-zone climate control with a climate pre-conditioning system (regulates temperature before journey), panorama sunroof, COMAND with an 8.4-inch display, 360-degree surround view camera, and an AMG exterior kit.
