Under the moniker of Mercedes-Benz, A-Class is anticipated to feature world class advancements for comforts and luxury, which are sure to strike right chords with the hearts of Indian buyers. Considering this vehicle on technical grounds, industry experts believe that the A-Class will sport two types of engine options, namely 1.7 litre petrol and 1.6 litre diesel engine. The petrol powertrain of yet-to-be launched A-Class is speculated to have a displacement of 1796 cc, which will churn out a peak power of 186 bhp with a maximum torque of 285 Nm.

On the other hand, the diesel engine of A-Class is expected to be sourced from Renault, which will churn out a peak power of 210 bhp with impressive fuel economy. The model is expected to be assimilated with a six speed manual gearbox, which will have smooth and hassle free shifts between gears.

As far as interiors of the upcoming hatchback are concerned, the model is expected to sport some of the industry leading features, which will add to the convenience of its occupants. Auto analysts believe that Mercedes-Benz has exclusively designed the interiors of A-Class hatchback, which will offer a warm welcome to its passengers. Besides, the standard features expected to be equipped within the upcoming A-Class will include remote central locking, powerful air conditioner with automatic climate control, power windows, remote fuel filler, rear wiper as well as defogger and arm rest in both the rows.

With the launch of a new model in the Indian auto industry, it seems that the Mercedes-Benz is in a full swing to regain its leadership position from compatriot BMW, which it lost to the latter in 2009.
