Mercedes Benz India, one of the largest luxury car makers in the Indian market, has registered a massive 67 percent jump in its sales in April 2011. The company sold a total of 537 units of its cars in the country during the month as compared to 321 units sold in the same period last year.
The C-class of cars of the company clocked sales of 253 units as against 147 units sold in the month of April 2010, registering a sales increase of 72%. On the other hand, the flagship E-class's sales surged 42% at 178 units, as against 125 units sold in April 2010. The company’s M-Class also continued its popularity run, clocking 58 units for the month of April 2011.
In the period of January-April 2011 Mercedes-Benz India grew 67% at 2670 units.
