      Mercedes-Benz India reports brilliant 32 per cent sales growth in June 2013

      Mercedes-Benz India, the domestic arm of German premium car maker, has sold 1756 units in the second quarter of 2013 with a growth of 32 per cent as against 1327 units sold during the corresponding period of last year. Reports suggests that this quarter is the highest scoring period for the auto company in the last 8 quarters. Industry experts are of a view that this success was mainly driven by the new A-Class, M-Class and GL-Class, E-Class and C-Class models, who all have performed really well in this quarter.

      Expressing his views on these impressive sales figures, the Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Mercedes-Benz India, Eberhard Kern was quoted as saying, “2013 is the Year of Offensive for MB in India. Our fully refreshed product line-up, with new segment introductions has received an overwhelming response from the customers. This has helped us achieve record results in Q2 2013. The B-Class CDI set for launch on 11-July 2013 is the next awaited launch from us and we have other fascinating product plans to follow the year through. Despite an overall challenging market conditions; the strength of brand Mercedes-Benz and the excitement of new product launches amongst customers, have enabled us to achieve successful results.”
