Jamshedpur’s Tristar Motors is the new address for Mercedes Benz India outlet in India. The new outlet located A-10, IInd Phase; Adityapur Kandra Main Road was inaugurated in the presence of Eberhard Kern, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, and Ravi Parikh, Director, Tristar Motors. With this new one, the company has 14 more outlets due to opened as planned for this year in Tier II and Tier III cities.
Last year the company reportedly witnessed a growth in sales of about 13% at 10,201 units as compared to the previous year. The company expects a 15% growth this year owing to Qualitative network expansion strategy that has been crucial to growth as the luxury car manufacturer reaches out to new customers. The new plant in Jamshedpur reportedly was built over an investment of about Rs. 100 Million in a span of about 15 months. Spread across 40,000 sq ft, it holds a capacity to display about 9 cars. Currently the company has 69 outlets spread across 38 cities and now in an attempt to be the leading player, the company plans on expanding the numbers to over 80 outlets this year.
