      Mercedes-Benz GLC launching tomorrow

      German automaker Mercedes-Benz will be launching its latest SUV, the GLC in India tomorrow. Based on the MRA platform, the car will be offered as a mid-sized SUV from the German automaker. The upcoming GLC will fill the gap between the GLA and the GLE. Post launch, the new Mercedes GLC will compete against the likes of the Audi Q5 and the BMW X3.

      Under the hood, the Mercedes-Benz GLC will offered in petrol and diesel engine options. The GLC 300 gets a 2.0-litre, direct-injection, turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine which generates 245bhp and 370Nm of torque, while the GLC 220d gets a 2.2-litre diesel engine which generates 168bhp and 400Nm of torque. Both the engines come mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission.

      As for the interiors, it will feature similar touches like the C-Class. It will offer ambient lighting and Apple CarPlay as standard. On the safety aspect the car will be loaded with all modern safety features along with airbags and ABS with EBD. On the pricing aspect, as the car will be brought in via the CBU route, we anticipate it to be priced between Rs 55 lakh – Rs 60 lakh. More details about the vehicle will be revealed tomorrow.
