      Mercedes Benz India, the domestic arm of German auto maker, has planned a line up of new launches for the domestic market. Industry experts are of view that this move of the luxury car maker will cater to the different demands of various sections of society. Also, the initiate will help the 'Three Pointed Star' to grab the attention of masses from tier-II and III markets. However, none of the company officials have told the exact number of launches, which are scheduled for this year.

      The Director Sales and Network Development for Mercedes-Benz, Boris Fitz said that the auto maker is looking ahead to increase its sales in double digits per cent wise for the ongoing fiscal. During the last year, Mercedes-Benz delivered 7,138 units in the Indian auto market and in the first quarter of 2013 calender year, the company found 2009 new buyers, which represented a steady growth in its volumes. Fitz further added that the company has recently launched its much awaited A-Class model in the compact luxury segment, which is likely to fulfil the demands of those individual who are looking for owing an economical luxury car in their garage.

      Following the success of A-Class in the country, industry experts are of a view that the auto maker will soon bring the diesel version of its B-Class model in few couple of months. According to company officials, the growing popularity for luxury models in tier-II and III cities can be really a volume puller for the luxury brand. Owing to the same, Mercedes-Benz is also planning to expand its dealership network in these cities, which will take the brand a step closer to its target customers. It must be noted that the German luxury car manufacturer has recently inaugurated new showrooms in Calicut and Vadodra, and is planning to take its total count to 60 before the end of ongoing fiscal.

      The Managing Director of SRM Smart Hoops, Neeraj Agarwal said that the response of company's customers in Lucknow and adjacent regions has been overwhelming. According to him, the sales in these regions have surpass the initial sales target of the company with much ease and owing to these, the auto maker is planning to expand its footprints with another showroom in Uttar Pradesh in the near future.
