      Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG launched in India at Rs. 1.29 crore

      Ending the wait for luxury car lovers across the country, Mercedes-Benz has finally launched the much awaited E63 AMG. The launch took place at Greater Noida's Formula One racing track, the Buddh International Circuit. Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG has been one of the most talked about cars in the recent past due to its style, power and performance. An advanced version of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, the E63 AMG encompasses a wide range of features in terms of luxury, class, comfort, utility and power. The German car maker has added another vehicle to its count for 2013 by introducing the E63 AMG, which is priced at Rs. 1.29 crore (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

      Many were present at the Buddh International Circuit, including top officials from the company and a large section of the media. One of the most excited and enthusiastic persons at the event was Eberhard Kern, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Mercedes-Benz India. Speaking about the introduction of this amazing car, Kern said, “The launch of the new E63 AMG further reiterates our promise of bringing fascinating cars to India.”

      He also threw light on the company's current aggressive policy pertaining the Indian car market. Mercedes-Benz is moving at a brisk pace, contrary to the market conditions, while introducing a high number of vehicles in this year itself. Kern said that the auto maker has pinned high hopes to the E63 AMG, expecting the car to enhance the firm's market share. In 2013, the German luxury car maker has brought-in cars like A-Class, B-Class Diesel, GL-Class Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), E-Class and now, the E63 AMG.

      Kern, further said, “When all the new generation models like A, B, CLA and GLA are launched, we expect them to contribute around 40 per cent to our total volumes in India.” He also mentioned that the firm received "great response on the models which were launched earlier this year."

      Brought to India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG is powered by a V8 twin turbo 5.5-litre engine that churns out 557 bhp of maximum power. The twin turbo engine is mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission. Some of the performance-boosting features of the E63 AMG are biturbocharging, four-valve technology with camshaft adjustment, direct petrol injection and generator management.

      Designed in true AMG style, this luxury sedan features a silver chrome radiator grille, rear spoiler lip and wind splitters. Interiors of the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG exude a sense of class through sports seats, Nappa leather steering wheel, silver seatbelts and door armrests. Technology is the forte of the German car maker and the E63 AMG is an apt representation of that fact. Active Parking Assist, Attention Assist, Collision Prevention Assist and 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen BeoSound surround sound system are some of the utlity features present in the newly launched car.
