The new-generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class has been revealed as the images of the new-gene sedan have been leaked before its launch. The new E-Class launch is due at the 2016 Detroit Motor Show and its images are already leaked.
The new E-Class follows the design language of the new-gene Mercedes-Benz like the C-Class and the S-Class. The new E-Class (codenamed as W213) will be bigger in dimensions when compared to the existing one. There will even be a long-wheelbase version of the E-Class for markets like China and India.
The interiors of the E-Class are similar to that of the C-Class and S-Class. The new features on the E are infotainment system with fingertip controller, and there will be two instrument clusters (one will be analog and the other digital). The E-Class will be offered with a range of new four and six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines. These will come mated to a six-speed manual and nine-speed automatic transmission options. The new 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 will be powering the AMG-spec E-Class with the seven-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT transmission. The new-generation E-Class will launched in India by early 2017 and will be assembled in company’s Chakan facility.
