      Mercedes-Benz C-Class Celebration Edition finally launched

      Mercedes-Benz India, after a lot of hype, launched the C-Class Celebration Edition on 12th November. This special edition has been launched to mark the sale of 10 million cars of the exclusive C-Class family worldwide. If converted into Indian number system, it will be whooping 1 crore units, which surely depicts the success story of this car model. Notably, the Edition C carries a retail price tag of Rs. 39.16 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai) and only 500 units will be available for domestic customers. Eberhard Kern, Mercedes-Benz India Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, reportedly, said, “The C-Class remains one of Mercedes-Benz' best-sellers in the competitive entry-level luxury sedan segment. To celebrate the success story of the C-Class which sold more than 10 million units globally, we are presenting the 'Edition C' for our Indian customers.”

      Adding further, Kern stated, “ 'Edition C' will continue to set newer benchmarks in design, quality and luxury for the segment. It embodies the new generation of agility having a strong impulse for modernity and sportiness and is inspired by the global success of the C-Class.” Notably, the new C-Class Celebration Edition boasts of a powerful four-cylinder diesel engine with 7G-tronic plus automatic transmission. As a result of this, the engine can deliver high power and torque outputs while reducing the fuel consumption to ensure excellent efficiency levels. In a nutshell, the newly launched model boasts of a new generation agility on roads, striking masculine exteriors, lavish interiors and state-of-the-art innovations to enhance users' experience.

      Specifically talking about exteriors of the Edition C, one can easily notice sharp lines on the entire body frame to make for an appealing appearance. This newly launched vehicle sees an AMG body styling with front grill in high gloss black. The front façade looks quite sharp with dark-tinted headlamps. This exclusive car model features black high-sheen finish 2-tone 17-inch 5-spoke light-alloy wheels to attain a sporty look. Embellishments on exteriors are completed with a nice looking “Edition C” badge on the wings of this car.

      Interiors of Edition C give out food for thoughts and are stunning for eyes to watch to make for an exciting car-cabin entry. The unique navigation control system is integrated with the infotainment system. This car boasts of an ambient lighting system in the cabin area, which makes it look highly attractive. Other highly sought after features that have been incorporated in this Edition C are sport seats with ARTICO/DINAMICA microfibre upholstery with contrast stitching, luxury multifunction steering wheel of 4-spoke design and 1/3: 2/3 folding rear seat backrests. To further add to the cabin décor, this vehicle also features door panels, shift lever, velour mats and steering with contrast stitching.

      Many industry experts have hailed this decision to launch an exclusive edition of Class-C. With this launch, the premium car maker would be looking to penetrate deep in the Indian automobile market. From other perspective, this will usher a new competition in the market among luxury car makers. BMW, rival of Mercedes-Benz, would be watching this progress with keen eyes, but nonetheless, customers will be the ultimate beneficiaries of such a cut-throat competition.
