Mercedes-Benz, the German automotive marque, is preparing to launch its B-Class sports tourer in the auto market and Indian car aficionados may have to wait just a few weeks more in order to get their hands behind the wheel of the much talked about car. The Mercedes-Benz B-Class is expected to take part at the 2012 Paris Motor Show and its official launch in the country is eagerly anticipated as well.
The B-Class Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) is going to be an entry-level product from the arsenal of Mercedes-Benz and the German auto giant aspires to take the Indian market by storm. The immensely anticipated car holds a 2.0 litre naturally aspirated petrol powertrain under its hood, which churns out a peak power output of 116 bhp and a maximum torque of 165 Nm.
Reportedly, the yet to be launched Mercedes-Benz B-Class sports tourer line-up may also incorporate a dual fuel petrol-CNG variant, which would be a first 'three pointed star' to house a CNG compatible engine.
It would be interesting to see how the car will be received by the Indian car enthusiasts as Mercedes-Benz carries along itself a great legacy of luxurious and expensive vehicles targeted at the affluent sections of the society. The latest offering B-Class from the German auto giant can be a bit shallow on the luxury quotient but is expected to attract umpteen Indian buyers.
