Maserati unveils upgraded Quattroporte and Ghibli at the 2016 Paris Motor Show

Maserati added that the 3.0-litre bi-turbo V6 powerplant, which is available on both cars, is now tuned to make 350bhp, an increase of 20bhp. With this update, the Quattroporte gets to a new top speed of 270kmph, and can hit 100kmph from standstill in 5.5sec. Similarily, the brand claims a revised top speed of 267kmph on the Ghibli.

Both saloons can now be seen with a restyled dash that uses an 8.4-inch infotainment system with multi-touch that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Maserati engineers have worked on improving the insulation and claimed that the cabin is much quieter than earlier. New safety features that have found their way into the cars include the surround view camera, and the ‘Advanced Driver Assistance System’ which uses a combination of blind spot alert, forward collision warning with brake assist, adaptive cruise control, and lane departure warning.

Also, there are two optional packages available on the Ghibli that are called Luxury and Sport. While Luxury makes the interiors feel more upmarket thanks to the use of upgraded leather, Sport includes the performance oriented seats, carbon fibre trim, and a new steering wheel.
