Maruti Suzuki has finally launched the 2015 Swift Dzire facelift in the Indian car market. The Dzire facelift's prices start at Rs. 5.07 lakh and goes up to Rs. 7.81 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The dealers had already started taking pre-orders for the car, while the deliveries are likely to start soon.
Talking about the changes, the updated Swift Dzire gets new front fascia with new single-chrome grille, flanked by smoked headlamps, fog lamps with chrome enclosure and revised bumper. It also gets new design for alloy wheels. At the rear, the car gets updated bumper, new reflectors and slightly tweaked tail-lamps.
Sharing most of its features from facelifted Swift, the compact sedan gets more feature-rich than its predecessor. It is equipped with features like engine start-stop button, electrically adjustable and retractable ORVMs, updated music system, reverse parking sensors and rear power socket.
Under the bonnet are the same 1.3-litre multi-jet diesel and 1.2-litre petrol engines. While the petrol engine is capable of producing 83bhp and 115Nm of torque, the oil burner is good for 74bhp and 190Nm. The diesel model is claimed to return 26.59kmpl of mileage, which makes it the country’s most fuel efficient car. On the other hand, the petrol unit delivers 20.85kmpl of fuel economy.
