The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza’s front has been teased ahead of its official debut at the 2016 Auto Expo. It will be positioned between the S-Cross crossover and the Swift hatchback in Maruti Suzuki’s line-up for India.
The teaser image shows a slightly updated version of the standard Suzuki grille with projector headlamps and LED DRLs. It also shows that the bonnet will have a flat design to give it a muscular appearance. The compact SUV from the Maruti Suzuki will be their entry into the compact SUV segment and will be unveiled on the first day of the 2016 Auto Expo. The car is based on the XA-Alpha concept car that was shown at the 2012 Auto Expo.
The compact SUV will be offered with both petrol and diesel engines; the diesel engine will get the SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki) system. The car has been completely developed in India for the Indian market, although it is expected that Maruti Suzuki will export this new vehicle to a few International markets. Expect the SHVS diesel-engine variant to be exempt from the odd-even scheme in Delhi as it will be a mild hybrid vehicle, similar to the Ciaz and Ertiga.
