The updated Maruti Suzuki Eeco is now available for Rs 3.55 lakhs. The Eeco now comes with safety features like driver airbag, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, and seatbelt reminder standard across the range. Maruti will now continue to sell the updated Eeco until the new crash test norms kick in.
The Eeco also gets a speed alert system. However in the Tour V trim, this feature is replaced by a speed limiter. Also part of the update is the new steering wheel akin to the one seen on the Alto. This steering wheel replacement was essential as it houses the new driver side airbag. Apart from the addition of the safety equipment, the Eeco does not get any new updates, either visually or mechanically.
The people mover continues to be offered with a five- and seven-seat seat layout besides the cargo configuration. Powering it is same 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol which can also be had with a CNG option. The engine puts out 72bhp and 101Nm of torque in the standard guise and 63hp and 85Nm of torque in CNG guise. Maruti claims a fuel efficiency of 15.37kmpl with petrol and 21.94kmpl with the CNG.
