As stated by sources, the company is considering investing about $1 billion towards development of a new platform that may be distributed across three lightweight platforms – Mini, A and B. as the move may help with the production costs, it is likely that the benefits maybe passed onto the customers. This could in-turn further help the company in gaining a stronger foothold in the Indian market.
