Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza has been a popular choice in the compact SUV segment. Owing to mounting demand and revised sales estimates, for the second time in a row, the India’s largest automaker is intending to ramp-up the production of the Vitara Brezza to 10,000 units a month from July. Thereby, translating to projected annual Vitara Brezza production to 1, 20,000 units per annum.

Previously, the company had revised production plan to 1, 00,000 units a year from 80,000 units. Since its launch earlier this year, Maruti Suzuki reportedly received over 75,000 bookings. The production revamp will help reduce the long waiting period on the vehicle. The company has also been working on making internal adjustments to meet growing demand for popular models including the Baleno.

The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is powered by a 1.3-litre four-cylinder DDiS diesel engine which generates 89bhp of power and 200Nm of torque. Mated to a five-speed manual transmission, the car reportedly returns a fuel efficiency figure of about 24.3kmpl. The compact SUV is available in LDi, LDi (O), VDi, VDi (O), ZDi, ZDi+ and ZDi+ variants.
