Maruti Suzuki Swift DZire Regal and Ertiga Feliz special edition to remain on sale

Maruti Suzuki India Limited, the country's largest passenger car maker, is keeping the Swift DZire Regal and the Ertiga Feliz special edition models on sale, in order to drive sales in the domestic market. The company is circumspect of the prevalent slowdown in the Indian auto sector and has decided to continue selling the limited edition variants of its best selling Ertiga and Swift DZire vehicles. The Swift DZire Regal was Maruti's answer to the launch of Amaze entry level sedan and an aggressive effort to take limelight off its rival Honda's car. Further, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Feliz special edition was rolled out recently for celebrating the popular Multi Purpose Vehicle's (MPV) first anniversary in the Indian auto market.

Maruti Suzuki Swift DZire Regal and Ertiga Feliz special edition

Maruti Suzuki had a lacklustre May 2013 in terms of sales recorded in the domestic car market. The special edition models were launched by the company to push its sales numbers in the country, at a time when the entire automobile industry was facing slow growth. The scenario has not changed much and the market recorded drop in sales again last month. Therefore, Maruti Suzuki is banking on its Ertiga Feliz and Swift DZire Regal models to drive sales, as the present situation is not working for the company at all. As per reports, sales of Ertiga MPV declined, while that of Swift DZire entry level grew marginally during May 2013 in the Indian auto market.

At present, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Feliz special edition trim is offered in ZXi and VXi trim levels with price tags valued at Rs. 9,14,674 and Rs. 8,23,740, respectively. Further, the Maruti Suzuki Swift DZire Regal special edition variant is available only in VXi model and carries a retail value of Rs. 6,79,692 (All prices ex-showroom Mumbai).

The special edition Ertiga Feliz boasts of several styling modifications, such as rear spoiler, silver painted front grille, fog lamp housings, air dam and redesigned Outer Rear View Mirrors (ORVMs), along with side and rear body graphics. Speaking of interiors, the Ertiga Feliz flaunts ‘Feliz’ branded cushions and seat upholstery, steering wheel cover, new floor mats, a back pocket organiser and door sill guards with Ertiga branding. Further, a futuristic digital display for the reverse parking sensors has been installed in the special edition variant.

The Maruti Suzuki Swift DZire Regal special edition trim comes with a new serene blue paint job with which it distinguishes itself from the normal variants. Other alterations in the stunning Swift DZire Regal include rear parking sensors, silver tipped front grille and silver fog lamp housings, along with electronically adjustable chrome body coloured ORVMs. The modish exterior appearance of this vehicle is complemented by funky graphics on the rear chrome job, coloured mud flaps and body graphics on the side profile. The interior setting of the special edition model sports stainless steel door sill guards, art leather seat covers & pillows, along with ‘Regal’ branded beige floor mats. The company also offers a complementary air perfume with its Swift DZire Regal.
