Even in the past Auto Expo events the manufacturer has utilized this platform to showcase its fresh line of vehicles or launch a face-lifted version.
Maruti Suzuki's XA Alpha to steal the limelight at the 2014 Auto Expo event
The car that shall steal the show for Maruti Suzuki would be the much awaited first SUV the XA Alpha. The car is aimed to give the compact SUV segment that was ruled by International brands such as Ford, Hyundai and Toyota a tough competition. As per sources, the car shall be powered by a 1.5 litre diesel engine. As per sources, it said that for the first time a the diesel engine has been developed by Suzuki for the Maruti production line, and the current line featuring Fiat's Multijet technology may be put to rest. For now, the car shall be available in diesel version, but a petrol version can be expected down the line. It is also said that the company may consider incorporating the much talked about power-train technology in Maruti Suzuki WagonR, Ritz, Swift and Ertiga models. A senior officials from Maruti Suzuki stated, “The Company is planning to march ahead even more aggressively in the current year. As the auto company is going to use the Auto Expo 2014 platform to showcase some inspiring model to steal the show at high note this year”.
Maruti Suzuki has always stood-by people's expectations and it would be interesting to see if this new SUV named XA Alpha manages to keep up with the company's reputation for reliable, efficient and cost-effective car.
