Maruti Suzuki India Limited, the country's largest passenger car maker, seems to be preparing to take the market by storm with the launch of another facelift version of its iconic Swift hatchback. Reportedly, the auto maker will be showcasing its new model at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. It must be noted that Suzuki has updated its official Belgium website regarding the new model, wherein the photos of new Swift have been uploaded.

The reworked model features a number of cosmetic changes at exteriors, which have further added to the designing language of the Swift. The key highlights of new Swift over the existing model are the L-shaped day time LED lamps adjacent to the fog lights and turn indicator mounted with outer rear view mirrors. Along with this, the overall looks of the new model has been kept same. At the interiors, the changes are expected to be minimum, apart from offering start/stop push button, rear foldable seats and a number of airbags for optimum safety. Sources close to the development process have stated that the rest of equipment at interiors have been left untouched, including the design of dashboard, instrument panel's backlight theme and the central console.

It must be noted that the auto maker is planning to introduce a new golden brown colour option with its upcoming Swift, which is expected to entice the audience. The international model of Swift hatchback will be offered in both petrol and diesel engine options, which will help the auto maker in catering to the demands of a large section of society. The petrol guise will be incorporated with the same 1.2 litre K-Series engine, which will belt out a maximum power of 94 bhp, whereas the diesel engine option will feature the 1.3 litre DDIS drivetrain churning out 74 bhp of peak power.

For the Indian auto market, the petrol version of new Swift will be assimilated with the same powertrain that develops 86 bhp of highest power. Industry experts are of a view that all the additional features in the new Swift will not be offered as a part of standard package as it might hurt the sentiments of price sensitive Indian buyers. As of now, no official statement has been released regarding the launch of new Swift in the Indian auto market and thus, auto aficionados have to wait for the updates.
