Maruti Suzuki launches Alto K10 Plus edition in India at Rs 3.40 lakh

The Alto brand has always been a considerable contributor to Maruti Suzuki sales in the country. This time around in efforts to further boost up its overall sales, the Indian automaker has introduced the K10 Plus in the country at Rs 3.40 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi). The new special edition model is based on the manual VXi variant while additionally offering 10 new features over the regular model. The vehicle continues to be powered by existing engine, while changes will be limited to cosmetic upgrades.  

The Alto K10 Plus continues to be powered by a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that generates 67bhp of power and 90Nm of torque. The new special edition trim is available only in five-speed manual, while the regular VXi trim has an optional AMT too. Speaking of features, the Alto K10 Plus edition gets plastic door protectors, rear spoiler, chrome accent on wheel arches, beltline as well as fog lamps, and body-coloured door handles and ORVMs. As for the interior, the Plus edition is being offered with reverse parking sensors, front power windows, a central locking system and a piano-finish music player.

Apart from higher sales, the new variant will help Maruti Suzuki strengthen its competition against Renault Kwid.  Moreover, it is believed that the new Alto K10 Plus might also help Maruti Suzuki clear-up its pending stocks ahead of introducing the K10 facelift in the country.
