      Maruti Suzuki introduces VXi trim in Alto 800

      Maruti Suzuki India Limited, the country’s largest passenger car maker, has added a new variant in the line up of Alto 800, named VXi. With a price tag of Rs 3.13 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the new trim has been equipped with a number of additional features, which are sure to gather immense appreciation from the price sensitive Indian buyers. All-door power windows, left side rear view mirror, central locking, airbag for driver, rear spoiler and few additional equipment over the LXi variant are the few highlights of the same.

      Besides, the VXi model with metallic paint has been introduced with a price tag of Rs. 3.17 lakh. It must be noted that this news has directly came from the auto maker’s official website. However, the technical configuration of the new variant has been kept same with a 796 cc petrol engine. The maximum power produced by this drivetrain stands at 48 bhp, with a peak torque of 67 Nm. In comparison to the previous generation model, the new Alto 800 is a slightly more spacious.

      Along with, the fuel efficiency of the new version has been also enhanced by almost 15 per cent. It must be noted that Maruti Suzuki has recently introduced a CNG variant of Ertiga Multi Purpose vehicle (MPV) in the Indian auto market. Industry experts are of a view that the launch of new variants by Maruti Suzuki is sure to offset its monthly sales fall, which was recorded in May 2013.
