The touchscreen infotainment system being offered with various Maruti Suzuki models has got an update for its maps section. The automaker has launched a microsite for the same and the update can be downloaded from there.
As per the instructions provided by Maruti Suzuki one needs to have the original map data SD card, VIN number and serial number of the SMARTPLAY device. To update the device one needs to follow the instructions and download the update from the micro site. Once it has been verified that the device is eligible for the update it can then be installed onto the SD card using a computer and extracting the same using compatible software.
This infotainment system is currently offered with specific variants of the S-Cross, Baleno, Ertiga and the Vitara Brezza.
