After generating a tremendous response at the unveiling at the 2016 Auto Expo, the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza was launched in India on March 8. The response is still so overwhelming that the manufacturer has got 2,600 official bookings for the car within 24 hours.
Maruti Suzuki officially started accepting bookings for the car on the day of its launch. But, since the dealers had already started accepting bookings for the car, in all probability, the numbers might be even more. It wouldn't be a surprise if the Vitara Brezza becomes the fastest car to record landmark bookings.
The Vitara Brezza is Maruti Suzuki’s new compact SUV, which has been conceptualised, designed and developed in India using a Suzuki global platform and engine. The long-awaited vehicle will soon be seen at dealerships and deliveries will start by the end of this month. The company is prepared for the huge demand for the vehicle and recently also ramped up their production to one lakh units a year from 80,000 units per annum. With such measures already taken by the manufacturer, we can hope that the waiting period for the car doesn't extend by a lot for a buyer.
Maruti Suzuki also aims at being the leader in this compact SUV segment, which has significantly grown in terms of sales in recent times. With the rise in the demand for such cars, the trend is only expected to strengthen further this financial year.
