Maruti Suzuki's Ertiga has been the front runner in MPV segment in India. Though a hot-seller in its segment, the MPV has been facing some amount of strong competition from newbies like Honda Mobilio and the upcoming Renault Lodgy. Recently, sources have managed to capture shots of the new facelifted trim being tested on Indian roads, thereby hinting on a possibility for a new version being launched sometime early next year.

As seen in spy shots, the new Maruti Ertiga is likely to receive a new two slat grill instead of the existing four-slat grille. To give it a fresher appeal, the upcoming Ertiga facelift is likely to receive a new redesigned bumper at the front as well as rear. The front gets fresher fog lamps with chrome inserts that render it a new younger look. The new alloy wheels are also worth a look in the new trim.

It is likely that top end in the facelifted version may be tagged as '+', and may have more features like Auto-Climatic control, electrical retractable and adjustable external view mirrors, and new fabric upholstery that render it an upmarket feel. Technical specification for the upcoming facelifted trim has not been revealed by the company, it is likely that Maruti may continue to power the vehicle in petrol and diesel trims along with slight tweaks in the ECU to further enhance the fuel efficiency. The pricing for the uplifted trim is likely to cost about Rs. 20,000 – Rs. 25,000 extra than the existing trim.
