The tales of success for the new Dzire do not seem to end anytime soon. And now, it turns out that the recently launched third generation of the Dzire has also emerged as the fastest one to cross the one lakh unit sales mark in India. The new Dzire has seen an instant hit owing to it being offered with new features, fresh design and affordable cost of ownership.
Under the hood, the petrol version continues to be powered by a 1.2-litre K-Series engine that generates 83bhp of power and 114Nm of torque, while the diesel version gets a 1.3-litre Multijet engine that generates 75bhp of power and 190Nm of torque. The new Dzire is available in a total of eight variants among which six of them are also available in AMT options. The company reports indicate that nearly 17 per cent of Dzire customers have opted for the AGS variant between April-September 2017.
In comparison to its predecessor the new Dzire gets refreshingly new cosmetic upgrades and features. The vehicle gets a face which is similar to that of the Ciaz, all thanks to the chrome inserts around the grille and fog lamp housing. The rear also gets a fresh upgrade with chrome inserts, redesigned tail lamps and LED indicators.
