Maruti Suzuki’s S-Cross has not been a major contributor to overall sales numbers primarily due to its high price tag in the line-up. Nevertheless, this first crossover from Maruti Suzuki has still found a fair amount of takers with over 50,000 units sold till date. The crossover was first introduced in the country in August 2015.

In terms of numbers, Maruti Suzuki’s first-ever crossover, the S-Cross has sold over 46,000 units in the country since launch, while more than 4,000 units were exported overseas. This failed to offer that value-for-money preposition which the automaker was always known for. Currently, the 1.6-litre variant is only available in top-spec Alpha trim.

The country’s largest automaker, Maruti Suzuki has revised the S-Cross pricing the country to revive customer interest. Currently, the 1.3-litre version is available in Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha variants which are priced at Rs 8.07 lakh, Rs 8.79 lakh, Rs 9.92 lakh and Rs 10.64 lakh (All prices, ex-Delhi), respectively. Available only in diesel engine option, the DDiS 200 engine mated to five-speed manual transmission generates 88bhp of power at 4000rpm and 200Nm of torque at 1750rpm. The bigger DDiS 320 is mated to a six-speed manual, generates 116bhp of power at 3750rpm and 320Nm of torque.
