Maruti Suzuki has issued a recall for 75, 419 units of the Baleno hatchback (petrol and diesel). These are vehicles manufactured between August 3, 2015 and May 17, 2016 and will be checked for an upgrade for the airbag controller software.

The automaker has also said that 15,995 units of the diesel Baleno manufactured between August 3, 2015 and March 22, 2016 will be recalled to inspect and replace a faulty fuel filter.

They will contact individual owners starting May 31 and the inspection as well as replacement will be done free of cost. To ascertain if your vehicle is covered, visit www.nexaexperience.com. Owners are requested to fill in the chassis number (MA3 followed by 14 digit alpha-numeric number). The chassis number is embossed on the vehicle ID plate and is also in the vehicle invoice/registration documents.
