      Maruti Suzuki aims at doubling Nexa outlets by 2020

      The country largest automaker Maruti Suzuki recently inaugurated the 200th Nexa outlet, premium car dealership outlet in Hyderabad. Moving forward, the Indian automaker plans on doubling this number to 400 outlets by 2020. By the end of the current 2016-17 financial year, the automaker plans to expand this number to around 250 outlets.

      Since its inception in July 2015, the premium dealership outlet sold over 1,85,000 vehicle units  and is now present in 121 cities. Speaking about the Nexa outlets Maruti Suzuki executive director, marketing and sales R S Kalsi said, “Nexa has been fastest rising retail network anywhere in the world. We will continue this momentum... We are focused on network and product expansion."

      The Nexa outlets offers unique car buying experience with innovation and pampering the buyers. The premium branding is also helping Maruti Suzuki attract a new category of buyers who had not been considering the brand in the past. With the Nexa outlets, the Indian automaker expects to achieve a sales target of around 2 million units in 2020. Currently, the Ignis, S-Cross and the Baleno hatchback are sold via the Nexa outlets.      

      Currently, Maruti Suzuki holds over 47 per cent of market share in the Indian market. The Indian automaker’s market share is likely to rise in the coming days with the recent launch of new Ignis which is sold via Nexa, the numbers are definitely expected to see a rise. Moreover, the automaker will also be updating and introducing new cars in next two year period thereby increasing its chances for a stronger market share in the country.
