Indian auto giant Maruti Suzuki has sacked 11 employees at its Manesar facility on Monday. The production at company’s Manesar facility has been halted since Saturday as more than 1,000 workers went on strike. So far, there has been a production loss of over 1,800 units at the company’s Manesar plant due to this strike.

The company has refused to accept the workers' demand. While refusing the demands of striking workers, MSI Chairman R C Bhargava said that there is no other union than the one already recognized. If the workers have any issue, they should have at first written to company and discussed with management.

In a statement given to PTI, Mr. R C Bhargava said, "The services of 11 persons, who were inciting workers to go on an illegal strike and created an atmosphere where safety of people was in danger, have been terminated."

According to him, the workers had gone on strike without writing any notice to the company. He, however, added that the company management is continuing the dialogues with the striking employees.

At present, Maruti Suzuki India produces 4 of its portfolio cars at Manesar plant including premium hatchback Swift, compact hatchback A-Star, and entry level sedans Dzire and SX4.
