      Maruti Ciaz coming this festive season

      India will witness a pile of launches around festive season; auto makers are vying to cash on the high customer sentiment during the auspicious time. Among many launches lined up around that time, Maruti Suzuki India also plans on launching its upcoming sedan, Ciaz during festive season. Ciaz is MSI’s yet another stint at conquering C segment, despite failed efforts in the past, the company isn’t just ready to give up on that. The company has several reasons to look up to the launch of Ciaz in India, being a new product it is being highly anticipated by auto enthusiasts. Though the concept version was displayed at the 2014 Delhi Motor Show and the vehicle has been spotted couple of times undergoing test runs, yet there is a curiosity built around the final touch ups given to the production version that is likely to vary from the concept form. Maruti is currently grappling in C segment and hence this makes Ciaz launch crucial for the auto maker.

      The previous offering of MSI in this segment, SX4, fell prey to diminishing sales, however the company has high expectations from Ciaz and hopefully the vehicle will be able to live up to the expectations of the auto maker. C segment currently has many good offerings like Honda City, Hyundai Verna and Ford Fiesta, hence for surviving the competition, MSI needs to price the car competitively. As for Ciaz, the sedan has been designed and equipped well. On the outside, the vehicle gets projector head lamps this feature is not very common in C segment, multi-spoke 15 inch alloy wheels are also likely to be offered. Inside the cabin, touchscreen and rear AC vents are likely be bestowed as standard provisions. Vital safety features such as ABS, EBD and driver side airbag are also included under the standards safety equipments. Under the hood, a 1.4 litre K14, VVT engine and a 1.3 litre MJD VGT motor could be housed.
