Maruti Suzuki is planning to introduce replacement for M800 in the Indian market. It may happen as soon as June 2010 when it introduces its latest small car model Maruti Cervo. Suzuki has already launched the car in the Japanese market and the car is quite successful.
The new Maruti Cervo comes as a modern day avatar of M800 with sleek, sporty and classy looks powered by 660cc petrol engine delivering 60 bhp of power and 64Nm of torque. It will feature four-speed manual transmission and improved engine efficiency of Advanced Variable Timing technology. The car is expected to be priced at entry level segment with a killer price tag of Rs. 1.5 lakh to Rs. 2 lakh. Maruti has not so far revealed the final variants and colour options for the up coming model.
The new Maruti Cervo has been designed with completely new exteriors and interiors. Honeycomb radiator grille, sleek body line, eye-shaped headlight cluster, body coloured side view mirrors are some of the new features of the model. The car is light weight and Suzuki claims the car delivers a mileage of 20-24 kmpl.
