Mahindra and Mahindra, the country’s largest utility vehicle maker, has successfully ventured into the passenger car market with the launch of Verito Vibe hatchback in the Indian auto market. Industry experts are of a view that Verito Vibe is neither a hatch nor a sedan, rather it aims to bank on both of these segments. It must be noted that the recently launched model delivers a stiff competition to Honda Amaze, Maruti Suzuki DZire and Hyundai i20. In order to find out best in the league, CarTrade.com has come up with a comparison of all the above mentioned models in almost all the main segments.

Heading the bandwagon, Honda has appeared with its recently introduced entry level sedan Amaze, which features the first ever diesel engine for the auto maker in India. Interestingly, the model has been equipped with a performance oriented engine, which has set new standards in its respective segment. Although the designing at interiors is not so impressive, its space is extraordinary.

Maruti Suzuki DZire is another model in the league, which is considered as the highest selling car in the Indian auto market. The key to success of this model is its much dependable Maruti moniker and the brilliant Fiat sourced 1.3 litre DDiS engine. However, the compact sedan does have some weaknesses. To name a few, the cabin of Verito Vibe is much more spacious than that of Swift DZire. Moreover, the sedan does not happen to be the cutest looking car in this range, which makes Vibe a clear winner. Comparing both the models in terms of price, the Verito Vibe offers a more value for money product to buyers.

Hyundai i20 is another great success in the premium hatchback segment. Ample space, well designed interiors and a powerful 1.4 litre CRDI engine are some of the key highlights of this model. But, the model comes with a very steep price tag and a stiff handling. However, it must be noted that the Verito Vibe might not be as premium as the i20, but it makes up in practicality.
