As per fresh updates, India's steadily growing Mahindra Two - Wheeler brand may acquire Peugoet's scooter business sometime soon. As per sources, the Indian two-wheeler biggie shall have the option of having a full ownership later.
In recent time, Mahindra Two-Wheelers has acquired 80% stakes in Kinetic Motors Company based in Pune. As per sources, currently the Peugeot brand is undergoing a major financial restructuring process and this has resulted in selling off stakes from its scooter business. The move is expected to reap mutual benefits. As for the Indian company Mahindra and Mahindra, it may receive huge technological benefits and exposure in the European markets. This would indeed result in better sales figures.
But at the same time, its also a risky venture for the Indian company acquire a loss making brand in times when it has been fighting to gain profitable result in the competitive market. The recently launched Gusto from Mahindra comes up with interesting set of features and technological advancements.
