The TUV300 compact SUV from Mahindra has received an overwhelming response from the Indian masses. The vehicle has reportedly received over 15,500 bookings in just about 2 months of its launch thereby pushing waiting period for customers to about 4-6 weeks. In an attempt to bring down the waiting period, the company is considering ramping up TUV300 production in coming months.
The Mahindra TUV300 being the only one currently to offer an AMT option, the variant has reportedly received about 40-45% bookings for the same. Moreover, lucrative starting price tag of Rs 6.98 lakh that goes upto Rs 9.20 Lakh for the top-end version (Ex-showroom, Delhi) has also been a major factor for its positive response from customers.
The Mahindra TUV300 is powered by 1,493cc, 3-cylinder mHawk80 diesel engine infused with 2-stage turbocharger that effectively generates about 84 BHP at 3,750 rpm and 230 Nm of torque at 1,500-2,250 rpm. Apart from five-speed manual transmission, the TUV300 is also offered with an optional five-speed automated manual transmission. In terms of features, it comes with ABS, dual airbags, in-built music system with bluetooth, aux and USB, steering mounted audio controls and reverse parking sensors.
